Sick

I was so sick yesterday… I dunno how to be sick, I can´t let people take care of me, I even work when I´m feeling sick, even with fever and cold chills, I don´t know why I can´t just lay down and rest.

Today I woke up and I feel better, all I needed was a good night’s rest. That’s another thing, I never get sick for more than one day, I think it has something to do with how I hate to feel sick.

I woke up at 5 am (as usual) and made lunch for my daughter thinking that the main reason I don’t like being sick is because I always feel I have to take care of others… If I were a matrix character I would be the “caretaker”, lol,.. like the keymaker, see? sounds good.

Tomorrow a lot of people are planning to go to the japan embassy here in Chile and light up candles and put flowers outside to show our sympathy of what’s happening right now in Japan.

The saddest part is that on the page that encourages people to go to this meeting there are other people saying it´useless, why not send them money they say? They are never going to know you did that, they say. So it is in fact useless.

I don´t think it is useless, to draw a picture, to try to collect some money to give to redcross, to make something to remember the people who died days ago in Japan. We are part of this world, all of us, we send energies all the time, good and bad, to give harmony and balance, to tell the rest of the world and to yourself that you too can feel the pain of others, it’s what should make us human. Yes, I know some people are going to light up candles and pray for their souls. That´s fine too!, even if you don’t believe in souls (I don’t know if I do), it means you care.

On the other hand, I have to say I feel sorry for the bitter people that think that every gesture you make is useless unless it’s donating money. Some people like myself don’t have any money right now to donate, I wish I had Sandra Bullock’s money and I could donate a million dollars…but I can’t.

Anyway, if you are in Santiago the meeting is tomorrow outside Japan’s embassy at 21:00.

So… here they are. I bought the little kois on my trip to Buenos Aires, so I only have a limited amount of those pieces, but I really want to help Japan!. I had a dream last night and I was on the tsunami… but I have dreams about tsunami constantly since I was 13, weird huh?

Anyway, if you want to help me sell them please reblog or share on your fb. I will give %50 of the sales to the Japanese Redcross society.

I think I will be selling them on my etsy shop too, what do you think? They cost USD$3 each and I´m making each one different.

Me parece muy bien que la gente use twitter para transmitir las noticias sobre el terremoto en Japón, pero… copiar, traducir y twittear lo que han twitteado antes personas atrapadas o heridas a causa del terremoto me parece que es lo mismo que pararse al lado de la carretera, junto a los cuerpos quemados y desmembrados dejados por un accidente entre una moto y un auto, y filmarlos de cerca para subirlo como la noticia cool del día a tu canal de Youtube.

Antes pensaba que es la naturaleza humana el tema del morbo pero despues del terremoto tengo otra idea de porque la gente se comporta asi frente a situaciones de desastre natural. Aun asi es muy morboso.

Takes a lot of time to make a figure and lately I find it really difficult to let them go. Maybe that is why I don´t usually take commissions on deviantart, I don´t know if they’ll take good care of it, will they clean it, will It’ll be on the sun?, on a nice shelf?. Besides most of the people who ask me to make sculpts seem to be under the impression that I do this for a living so they try to be super specific about details, I feel like it’s kinda “bossing around”, it sucks the creative drive out of me.

Yeah I know, I´m just picky, but I don´t have time to finish my own figures so don´t feel like taking orders from anyone when it comes to that.

Well the guy that asked for this Calcifer said it was for his girlfriend and he seemed like a nice person XD.

Masks in Japan

I subscribe to a few channels on youtube, some are bands, others are tv shows, and others are japanese bloggers, or as you may say famous youtubers.

On those videos you can often see crowded places with a few japanese people wearing masks. I don´t mean everyone is wearing them, but some are and it´s confusing and.. why not,.. weird.

I have a couple of theories as to why some people in Japan may wear masks : (and, I´m only writing them because every time I ask about this matter nobody wants to answer me XD)

1.- They saw the last Resident evil movie and clearly the biggest zombie outbreak begins there,… gotta take some precautions?

2.- They don´t eat a lot of fruit since they are too expensive, so their immune systems can´t hardly handle a simple flu.

3.- They think it´s cool to look like you are on a walking dead episode.

4.- They have really bad teeth and need to hide it from the rest of the world… it could be bad breath too XD

5.- Maybe it´s really easy to catch a respiratory infection in Japan…

6.- The air is.. poluted?

That´s it, I´m out of ideas. If you know the answer or have more ideas as why, then let me know XD.

Me identifico mucho con el personaje de Batty en sus últimos momentos. No es algo que le extrañe demasiado a quienes me conocen en persona.

Sabes, es uno de los pocos libros que reemplazo totalmente a la película en mi mente, ya casi no puedo recordar escenas de la película que no esten entrelazadas con las que cree a partir de los actores. En la película nunca me gusto el personaje principal pero en el libro lloré cuando el tipo ve que el sapo es un robot tambien, me senti tan mal, es un escenario terrible que no existan animales reales :(
